How It Works
When the Login Page is enabled, a "Customer Log-in" section appears with username/password fields. Accounts created here are validated against these credentials. Expired accounts see a message telling them to contact their administrator. You can also restrict which playlists a specific user can see.

API credentials and data management
Vimeo API Token (enables caption search & keyword extraction)
Without a token, we use the free oEmbed API (title, thumbnail, duration). With a token, we also fetch caption transcripts for full-text search and auto-extract keywords. Get a token at developer.vimeo.com/apps → Create App → Generate Token with Read scope.
Caption Fetch Troubleshooting: If captions aren't fetching, make sure your token has Read scope and the video has closed captions enabled on Vimeo. Go to the video on Vimeo → Distribution → Text Tracks to check or add captions/transcripts.

Videos show "having a little trouble"? Each Vimeo video must allow embedding. Go to the video on Vimeo → Privacy → Where can this be embedded? → add your domain or set to Anywhere.
Private links (vimeo.com/ID/hash)? Always paste the full URL when adding a video. The hash is stored and appended to the embed URL automatically.
